Tri de départ

A une semaine du départ je dois faire face à une triste réalité: malgré mon déménagement qui est parti en juin et m'attend entreposé dans la grange de mes parents, j'ai encore trop de choses pour pouvoir voyager en avion dans 'des conditions normales', je vais indéniablement faire face à un excès de bagage démesuré!!! Je pense d'abord à payer cet excès, mais j'ai quand même deux vols et le prix tarifaire au kg me fait vite oublier cette option...bon bah jeter ce que je ne peux pas emmener alors??là ça devient embêtant.

Après deux trois jours de cogitation, la solution idéale me vient enfin à l'esprit - et pourquoi n'y ai-je pas pensé plus tôt! - : demander à mon dernier client dont le conteneur part fin septembre de me laisser mettre un ou deux cartons avec ses effets, cartons que je récupererai à l'entrepôt de mon bureau en France lorsque je serai de passage à Paris..."pas de problème!" m'annonce t-on des deux côtés, ouf je souffle, quel soulagement!

J'ai donc entrepris ce matin de trier 1) ce qui va dans la valise 2) ce qui va dans le conteneur 3) ce qui va à la poubelle (car on en accumule des trucs même en deux mois!)..Résultat en photos.

Maintenant, je n'ai plus qu'à espérer que les déménageurs ici n'oublieront pas de mettre mes cartons dans le conteneur avant le départ!!!! :-)

                                            

Sorting out my things before leaving

One week away left before I leave and I must face reality, hard as it may be: despite my previous move which left Malaysia in June and which is now awaiting me in my parents's place, I still have too many things here to be able to fly 'under normal conditions', I will undoubtedly have a huge luggage excess!! First I thought of paying for this excess, but after all I have two flights to take and when I heard the unit price per kg, I changed my mind quickly... what should I do then?? throw away what I can't take with me??? that's quite annoying.

After thinking it over and over for two-three days, I finally got THE solution - and why didn't I think about it before? -: I can ask my last customer whose container is leaving at the end of September to let me put one or two boxes together with his personal effects, and I can get these boxes back from my French office warehouse whenever I am in Paris... "no problem!" is the reply I get from both sides, I feel better know, what a relief!

So this morning I decided to sort out 1) what i take with me in the plane 2) what goes into the container 3) what I still need to throw away (it's amazing how many useless things one can accumulate within two months!)... Check the pictures...

Now my only worry is that the packers may forget to include my things in the client's container when they do the loading and I won't be there to remind them!!! :-)
